Bach: Goldberg Variations (Live at Carnegie Hall, New York, 2025)

Lim shapes the cycle with real confidence. The musical value is beyond doubt. The sound works, however it does not quite illuminate every contrapuntal strand.

Context

This is a live recording, captured at Carnegie Hall and the overall perspective feels like you're sitting around the fifth row. The hall is beautifully present but discreet. It certainly adds space but without overwhelming the piano.

Audience is almost nonexistent.
