Editorial
Submissions
I consider selected releases and equipment for editorial coverage.
Everything is reviewed personally, and inclusion is not guaranteed. Most submissions will not be covered.
The focus of TrueResAudio is music first, with sound as part of the listening experience. Submissions should reflect that.
Releases
To consider a release for review, I need access to a downloadable, lossless version of the album.
Streaming links alone are not sufficient.
This allows me to evaluate the recording in a consistent listening environment and spend time with it properly.
Please include:
- A download link to the full release, in lossless format
- Basic release information, artist, title, label, release date
- Any relevant notes on recording, mastering, or production
Optional but useful:
- High-resolution artwork
- Context around the release, new recording, reissue, remaster, and so on
Submissions without a downloadable version will not be considered.
Equipment
Equipment coverage is selective and limited.
I focus on equipment that fits a real-world listening setup built around lossless playback. This typically includes headphones, DACs, speakers, relevant amps, and related components that directly affect how recordings are experienced.
I do not cover all categories of audio equipment.
To evaluate a product properly, I need extended time with it in my own system. Short-term loans are not suitable for this.
If you are submitting equipment for review:
- The unit must be provided for long-term use or as a review sample
- It must be available for full evaluation within my existing setup
- Basic product information and context should be included
Most equipment submissions will not be accepted.
What happens next
I review all submissions myself.
Due to editorial priorities and limited capacity, not all submissions receive a response, and not all accepted submissions will result in coverage.
Decisions are based on fit, relevance, and available time.
